July 30-August 5

Did you know that the first Sabbath of every month is potluck Sabbath at Riverview?! Don’t miss the opportunity to fellowship with old friends and new ones too! It starts right after the church service in the fellowship hall.

This Sabbath we will wrap up our series on “Belonging.” We have looked at two biblical images of the church: the body and the bride. Now we will finish with a third biblical image of the building based on 1 Peter 2:5,

Hope to see you at church this Sabbath as we wrap up this series on what it means to belong to the church.

Last Sabbath after church I had the chance to visit John and Irene Duroe’s house for a fellowship gathering with “the horde.” It was a special time to get better acquainted with some new friends. Thank you Duroe family for your hospitality!

Stacie and Malachi sure knew how to babysit! We appreciated that 🙂

John made us the most amazing English tea!!!

Baby Katia was fascinated by Sadie Tomlinson!

Anna was tired and had a chance to take a nap!

It was great having the Boyce family visit us this past Sabbath.

I spent this past week at pastors meetings organized by the Georgia-Cumberland Conference at Cohutta Springs Conference Center in Georgia. What a beautiful setting Cohutta Springs camp is. I praise God for His marvelous creation every time I go there! The meetings themselves were excellent as Alan and Nicole Parker and Richard and Temari Brown shared with us on topics ranging from marriage and priorities in ministry to addiction and parenting. It was a wonderful time of renewal and you can see some pictures from our trip below!

It was great seeing Pastor Arnold throughout the week! He sends his greeting and blessing to Riverview and he is doing well in his new district. We had a wonderful time praying together.

We also bumped in to these folks! (Nate and Kristina Dubs, former associate pastor in Greeneville) It is near impossible to get two happy smiling newborns in one picture. As you can see, we didn’t even get one. But all four parents are happy. Two girls with roots in Greeneville TN!
