January 5 – February 7
Prayer: This past month there have been so very many answered prayers! I’ve personally been learning that prayer is the difference between You fighting for God and God fighting for You! (If you haven’t listened to Barry Black’s Sermon on Prayer yet, it is worth listening to below!)
I believe that nothing thrills God’s heart as much as seeing HIS PEOPLE UNITED IN PRAYER!!!
Things Happening: Well, the month of January sure flew by! With two trips to Cohutta, new board meetings, snow days, sickness, and more the month just got away from me. A lot of good things are happening though.
Primary Sabbath School is always buzzing with activity!
These two are engaged in some serious ministry as the hands and feet of Jesus! Brooke Sadler and Barbara Cain are part of a new initiative in our community to bring food to the undernourished seniors of Greene County. To God be the Glory!
Great visiting with Bill Sias. Praying for his continued recovery and personal goals for the new year!
It was special to anoint and pray with brother Tom Culler as he battles cancer. What a soldier for Christ!
Every Thursday at 3pm join us at GAA for some ole’ fashioned recreation!
Dr. Philip Samaan’s message on the power of prayer gave us another opportunity to do our favorite thing here down by the riverside: PRAY!!
Sure was great catching up with a family that has had an impact on my life!
Personal: Nothing is more precious than seeing a loved one’s face light up and smile. We know this to be true. Remember, that God loves you and wants nothing more than to see joy on your face. One of my absolute favorite sayings: “All will be joy in the end, if it’s not joy, it’s not the end.”
